Programs

CodeHero Foundation is a Canadian not-for-profit organization dedicated to expanding access to Tech education for Kids and Teens (ages 7–17), Youths (18-54) and Seniors (55 & above) – especially those facing financial, social, or systemic barriers. We believe very strongly that opportunity should never depend on circumstance.

We work to close the digital opportunity gap by bringing free, accessible, high-quality Tech education to underserved and underrepresented people across Canada. We are not an academy. We are a movement for digital equity, youth empowerment, and national innovation.

Our Focus

We focus on exposure, support, and empowerment, not traditional classroom instruction.
Our programs are designed to meet people where they are in life, recognizing that learning looks different at every stage.

Across all age groups, we emphasize:

Our approach ensures that no matter your age or background, technology becomes a tool for empowerment, and not a barrier to opportunity.

OUR KIDS AND TEENS PROGRAMS

Building Foundations for a Digital Future

Our Kids and Teens programs introduce young people (Ages 7-17) to technology as a tool for creativity, problem-solving, and self-belief. We focus on early exposure, curiosity, and confidence, especially for those who may not otherwise have access to digital learning.

Through hands-on activities, mentorship, and community-based learning, they begin to understand that technology is not something to consume, but something they can shape and create.

These programs lay the groundwork for future learning, leadership, and innovation, ensuring no young mind is left behind because of circumstance or access.

OUR YOUTH AND ADULT PROGRAMS

Skills, Opportunity, and Economic Empowerment

Our youth and adult programs (Ages 18–54) are designed for people seeking practical digital skills that open real doors. Whether participants are entering the workforce, transitioning careers, or strengthening their livelihoods, we meet them where they are.

We emphasize accessible, high-quality tech education paired with mentorship, innovation support, and community collaboration. The goal is not just Tech consumption, but economic mobility, confidence, and long-term independence.

This is where digital access becomes digital opportunity, and where individuals move from learning technology to using it to build their future.

OUR SENIOR PROGRAMS

Digital Inclusion & Safety for Lifelong Participation

Our senior programs (Ages 55 & Above) focus on digital inclusion and safety, Cybersecurity awareness, and connection. We believe access to technology is essential at every stage of life, for communication, services, learning, and independence.

These programs are delivered in supportive, patient environments that prioritize understanding over speed. Seniors gain the confidence to navigate digital tools safely and meaningfully, helping them stay connected to their communities and the world around them.

Digital equity includes everyone, and age should never be a barrier to participation or empowerment.

WOMEN & GIRLS IN TECH

Empowering Females to Lead in a Digital World

Technology shapes the future; women and girls must be at the center of building it.

Our Women & Girls in Tech initiative creates safe, empowering, and opportunity-driven spaces where females of all ages can build digital confidence, technical skills, leadership capacity, and economic independence. We work to remove barriers that have historically limited female participation in technology by providing inclusive access, mentorship, and real-world Tech engagement.

What This Program Supports

  • Foundational and advanced Tech exposure in coding, AI, cybersecurity, digital creativity, and emerging technologies
  • Cybersecurity awareness and digital safety training, equipping girls and women to protect their data, privacy, and digital identity
  • Responsible and strategic use of social media, promoting safe engagement, personal branding, and healthy online participation
  • Leadership development and confidence-building through guided projects and mentorship
  • Women’s economic empowerment initiatives through Tech skills, entrepreneurship support, and workforce pathways
  • Community-building spaces where girls and women learn, collaborate, and grow together.

Who This Initiative Welcomes

  • Girls discovering technology for the first time
  • Young women exploring career pathways in Tech
  • Women seeking career transition, upskilling, or entrepreneurial growth
  • Older women building digital confidence, safety and participation.

We believe that when women and girls are equipped with the right tools and support, they do more than participate in technology; they lead, innovate, and strengthen communities.

Access Comes First

Curiosity about technology doesn’t belong to one age group. It can spark in a child, awaken in a teen, resurface in youth, or emerge later in life.

Yet without early exposure, continued encouragement, or accessible support, that curiosity often goes unexplored.

Our programs exist to meet people at every stage of their journey; from kids and teens discovering possibilities, to youths seeking direction and growth, to seniors embracing new skills and confidence. By opening doors, building capability, and connecting people to real opportunities, we ensure access comes first.
